Cloud project and philosophy, shared by the beautiful and one of the most amazing planets I’ve met in my life, Lara Mickoki.

By the way, the key element to make a great project is enthusiasm. All the rest… talent, multidisciplinary teams, management,  hard work… that is definitely secondary, so if you want to make something that really rocks work with people you like.

If you judge people you have no time to love them. Wandering around Mumbai, I found this Mother Teresa’s message. The simplicity of her love always surprises me.

I would share most of the daily articles I read on Brainpickings or any side project of Maria Popova, but there would be no experience of discovery here. However, Frida and Patti Smith! that is a perfect duet, it was imposible not to post. Besides, Frida’s quote was a meaningful disclosure that I shared with my favorite moleskine… and also, I spent at least 3 months listening to Patti Smith every working design night with one curly and beautiful team-planet.

So happy to see a key element of my cloud growing so much. Sharing our philosophies on how to rock life has been a big part of our friendship. These are no longer theories for him, 26’s year old beautiful salvadorian soul and succesful chef Lorenzo Alvarez is making it happen.

.

After visiting Vondelpark in Amsterdam, my friend and me had a very serious cold attack, so we started walking out from that park. We went into the first the coffee shop we found, the Dolphins coffee shop, one I hardly recommend by the way. My whole trip was a big encounter with artists, true artists, not talkers or sellers but doers, people who cannot stop making. That day wasn’t the exception.
I rarely stop myself from talking to someone who I think is extremely interesting… this time I saw a guy drawing on a sketchbook and we ended up spending the whole day talking at the Dolphins shop, one of the many places he did with his own and bare hands. I was shocked by his transparency and I wrote many of the simple and fascinating things he said, but I can truly associate his life with this documentary. At a certain point, he mentioned that there was absolutely nothing he could do to stop making things, anything… It went truly well for him, but he is aware that it can be both a blessing and a curse. I think there is nothing more beautiful than simple people doing what they love.

They’re a not less than 50,000 Salvadorians in Milan. You can actually hear our accent everywhere in metros or buses, even if they are speaking Italian.

Currently, I’m hired by a Salvadorian company to build their advertising image, based on our folklore and addressed to Salvadorians living abroad. Of all the “creative” projects I’ve been involved, there is certainly not a research as entertaining as this one. I lived in El Salvador for seventeen years and I’m eager to come back and make a research of the happy creative humans that reside in this country.

When I remember my childhood or I see these pictures, I don’t even understand the mixture of cultures living inside me, but I’m certainly proud of being born there and spending so much of my time in the country side. We certainly don’t know about accurate boundaries of beauty or even the proper way of doing most of things… we don’t even know how to be “exotic” or “touristic”, but I think we do know how to improvise, how to smile, and how to laugh at our problems.

I’m sharing some of the pictures of some Salvadorian virtual communities that I found during my research. I can assure you all these things happen (constantly).

This post is dedicated to one of the smallest and happiest countries in the world. Grande El Salvador!
